Bullet-proof doors Series BRB
Doors designed to protect private individuals and local shops (jewellery, agent de change, insurance offices, petrol stations, etc.) from armed, minor vandalism.
Thanks to their appearance and relatively light weight, they can be integrated very easily in existing buildings, so that they can guarantee their prime function: compartmentalisation of the secured premises.
The product meets the standards EN 1522-1 and 1523-1, FSG classes (equivalent to the FB4 class), technical report ABAL 01/048. Riot Guns, Cal.12. Ammunition during trial: Cal.12 Brenneke. Bullet weight: 31 gr.
Leaf
Door with one or two steel leaves, with covering on three sides, ±60 mm in thickness, consisting of a double-wall full door panel, made of two zinc-plated steel sheets with a thickness of 30/10 per leaf. The internal insulation is in high density rock wool and multiplex plaques.
Frames
U-shaped with wall head covering.
A frame that sandwiches the wall head will be used for most interior doors. The frame is made of zinc-plated steel sheets with a minimum thickness of 30/10. It is screwed to the bay with at least three screws per stile. The number, location and type of fixation are chosen by the fitter who will adapt optimally to the masonry.
A 40 x 20 x 1.5 mm tubular strip is riveted onto the frame, and conceals the light that enters between the leaf and the frame on the non-hinged side.
Acoustic insulation:– 42 db.
Tubular.
Rotating parts
The leaves are suspended from the frame with at least three welded steel hinges with an external diameter of 20 mm; they are mounted on ball bearings, which enables them to have great inertia, for openings slightly exceeding 180°. In addition, they are designed so that it is impossible to drive out their pin.
We can add anti-unhinging mechanisms as an option. This is not very useful for doors with hinges inside the room to be protected. Conversely, they are highly recommended when the hinges are exposed outside the room to be protected.
